The magic of modern technology
The first time I heard a podcast and discovered Apple podcasts, I couldn’t believe how wonderful they were.
There were so many interesting shows on a wide variety of topics. I quickly became addicted and would listen on the go and any time I had to wait somewhere or do some mundane task. My favourite shows were The Market Leaders Podcast, Business Boutique, The Coach’s Journey, Ask Pat, and My Wife Quit Her Job.
I listened avidly and was invited to appear on the Market Leaders Podcast by David Ackert. I had to dial in on my phone very early one morning from my office. I was so nervous that I couldn’t speak properly. The whole event was totally overwhelming but it made me determined that I would get better at it and that I would have my own podcast one day.
Fast forward to August 2020, when I had discovered that you could record on your phone and upload to an app called Anchor. I roped my fellow coach, Andrew Parker, into co-hosting a new show with me called “The Coach Potatoes”. We started having a lot of fun with it and I realised that with my legal industry background, it would make sens for me to start another podcast dedicated to the legal industry niche. And so, on 8th January 2021, the Legal Genie podcast was launched.
